Topic — An orphaned network has been detected.

The network host has disconnected. Anyone currently on the network will be able to function as usual, but no new users will be able to join.

Contact the network's creator if you don't think this should have happened.

LAN Bridger currently operates in an entirely decentralized fashion. As a result, once the host of a network leaves, the network is no longer capable of determining if new peers can be trusted. In addition, the network no longer has the ability to notify existing peers that a new peer has come online. Although new peers may not join, existing peers are able to communicate as if nothing has changed. Networks in this state are “orphaned.”

Currently there is no way for an orphaned network to be reclaimed by the network host. The network host must re-host the network and all peers must reconnect in order to return the network to normal operation.

These issues will be addressed in an upcoming version of LAN Bridger.
