Topic — Could not establish connection to remote host.

If you are trying to connect to a virtual network that is behind a firewall or a router, make sure the network host has set up the appropriate firewall rules and that the necessary port has been forwarded on the router.

Details

In the current version of LAN Bridger, the network host must be directly accessible via the internet. You should get in touch with the network host and let them know they need to forward the LAN Bridger port on their router. The default port is 40001. Note that only the network host needs to forward a port.

It is also possible that the network host's IP address has changed, making the public profile you are using out-of-date. In such a case, you should contact the network host and ask for an updated profile.

Issues with port forwarding and dynamic IPs will be addressed in upcoming releases of LAN Bridger.
